when solitude is what i need loneliness becomes my fear
when intimacy’s what i crave sometimes I just run out of here
my hunger makes me vulnerable and that’s what makes me run away
but something in your eyes tells me to stay
something in your eyes tells me to stay

‘cause I can be exactly who I am in every moment
and you don’t judge this reckless fool or let my missed steps foment
from mole hills into mountains no that’s not the way you see
you love the whole of who I am, you love the whole of me

and sometimes the things you do drive me crazy
and sometimes I get on your case, I like to call you lazy
but you must know all the little things you do don’t go unnoticed
and just in case your feeling doubt let’s bring it into focus

‘cause you can be exactly who you are every day
and I won’t judge or ridicule your stumbles along the way
l’ll ride these waves of life with you, our love is like the sea
I love the whole of you you are the same way you love me

and we are free
in this love in our love
we are free
in this love in our love

sometimes it’s hard to say how grateful my heart is
and words cannot describe this magic that’s between us
here I am out on this limb dangling from above
you are the fire in my heart my love
you are the fire in my heart my love

and i’m free
in this love, in our love
I am free
in this love, in our love
we are free
in this love, in our love
we are free
in this love, in our love
we are free
we are free
we are free
