she thought that she knew what true love was then she looked into those eyes and she could see she was in for another surprise somehow he looked right through her and she could see in his soul and all that was broke in his presence became whole

sweet Elaine used to travel on buses and trains
but he rules they were clear no dogs allowed here so she changed
sweet Elaine used to drag her past round like a chain
but that burden ran off when a Saint with four paws staked his claim

he looks so proud walking beside her and her eyes sparkle with love
you’d never know they were lonely before they linked up
some folks are searching for romance others just need a true friend
every heart knows real love when it comes around the bend
