Music Reviews of
Alice Di Micele's
"by ebb & by flow"
The earthy quality of Alice DiMicele's voice is apropos considering that the majority of the songs on her new album, "By Ebb and By Flow," center on the natural world. As she echoes the feel of being adrift in the ocean ("Take Me Out on the Water") or strains to hear a voice in the trees ("The Cottonwoods"), her rich, jazzy vocals, laid upon a bed of easygoing folk pop, are as warm and inviting as a cup of thick cocoa.
